Creusabro® Wear Plate Range

Through-Hardness
Creusabro® wear plate offers new and improved material properties compared to traditional water-hardened wear plates (HB500). For example, it is well-suited for applications in the mining, excavation, crushing, and recycling industries.

The unique manufacturing process, involving carefully controlled oil cooling and tailored metallurgy, results in a wear plate that is hard "through and through" in a way that is fundamentally different from the commonly used wear plate today (HB500).

Better Operational Economy

The material maintains its hardness up to approximately 450°C, contains Cr- and Mo-carbides, which further harden the material during wear and achieve its full wear resistance during use, allowing for a simpler manufacturing process, such as cold forming.
With significantly better wear resistance throughout the thickness of the plate and considerably easier formability compared to HB500, Creusabro® offers:
  • Extended lifespan for wear components (typically 30-100% longer lifespan compared to HB500 plate).
  • More options to protect particularly exposed parts from wear.
  • Possibility for increased payload through thinner plates while maintaining lifespan.
  • Better operational economy.
Bergs Mekaniska is proud to offer ArcelorMittal’s product range in Creusabro® and gladly welcomes inquiries about the material and its properties.
